Featuring a responsive design, standardised course templates, role-based enrolment mechanisms, and secure hosting, the result is a modern platform for practice-oriented learning.

With the platform qurios.academy, Quantum Technology Laboratories GmbH has created a digital education offering dedicated to the dissemination of quantum knowledge – grounded, practice-oriented, and free from hype. qurios.academy demonstrates how even highly complex topics such as quantum-secure cryptography and communication can be translated into an accessible digital learning environment.
To present this content in a professional and approachable way, a bespoke Moodle solution was developed in collaboration with think modular – digital solutions. The target audience includes businesses, public institutions, and professionals seeking to prepare for the challenges of quantum-secure communication.
think modular supported the project not only on a technical level, but also conceptually – from designing the user experience and course structure to the visual implementation in line with the corporate design. The focus was on creating a clearly structured, responsive learning environment that meets both the subject’s depth and the project’s high design standards.
Consistent branding fosters trust and ensures a seamless, intuitive user experience.
Particular attention was paid to fully adapting Moodle to the corporate design of Qurios Academy. The design team at think modular implemented colours, typography, layout and UI elements in a way that ensures a consistently brand-compliant user experience – from the homepage to individual course views. The footer was also completely redesigned and functionally enhanced to clearly incorporate additional navigation items, partner references, and legal information.
The platform features a modern, responsive landing page that intuitively introduces users to the topic and leads them directly to suitable learning opportunities. An additional team page presents the experts behind the Academy – transparent, personal, and professional.
To showcase courses and webinars, the in-house plugin CourseList was used. It provides a clear, filterable overview of all content, which is continuously updated and expanded. Great emphasis was placed on readability, clarity, and mobile usability – for individuals as well as teams and organisations.
The result: A scalable and sustainable digital learning environment that offers clear structure and responds to the needs of modern education.
Thanks to its modular structure and consistently scalability-focused architecture, the platform can be continuously expanded – for example, to include new learning paths, language versions, or training formats tailored to specific target groups. Future features – such as certificates, reporting tools, or custom enrolment logic – can also be integrated with ease.
In designing and developing the platform, think modular contributed not only technical expertise but also pedagogical insight and a keen sense for design. The result is qurios.academy – a modern digital learning environment that makes knowledge accessible, provides clear orientation, and creates space for in-depth learning in the quantum era.
